On The Mark Moving Insurance Policy

At On The Mark Moving, we take every precaution to protect your belongings. While our team handles your items with care, we also provide a clear insurance policy so you can move with confidence.

🛡️ Basic Value Protection (Included)

Every move includes Basic Value Protection at no additional cost.

• Your items are covered at $0.60 per pound per item.
• This protection is standard in the moving industry and provides limited liability coverage.

📦 What’s Not Covered

The following items are not covered under our insurance:

• Furniture made of simulated wood, particle board, or pressed board.
• Internal electronic damages without external damage.
• Fragile items (dishware, glasses, porcelain, pictures, lamp shades, etc.) unless packed by our movers.
• Damages from packed drawers, cabinets, or armoires.
• Items inside boxes (unless packed by our movers).
• Damage to walls, stairs, or hallways caused by oversized items that cannot reasonably fit.

🛠️ Assembly & Disassembly Policy

• We cannot mount or remove flat-screen TVs from walls.
• We cannot bolt/unbolt items from walls or ceilings.
• We cannot connect/disconnect appliances (washers, dryers, fridges, dishwashers, freezers, etc.).

Important: Appliances must be drained and disconnected before moving day.

Our movers wear steel-toed shoes for safety. We cannot be held liable for soiled carpets or floors due to weather conditions.

📝 Filing a Claim

1. Submit your claim within 60 days of delivery.
2. Email us at contact@onthemarkmoving.ca with:
   • A description of the damage.
   • Pictures of the damaged item(s).
3. Our team will review and provide a resolution within 7 business days.
